EDIT: I have the wrong crown in these pics, d'oh! The glass peacock one was put away and I forgot about it! I'll post some pics of that too.
--------------
And now for the technical stuff...please read, because I took the time to make the costume and I feel this crap is important!
Materials used: Bridal satin, casa lining and white fabric, bridal brocade (front underskirt), albino peacock feathers (hand-stripped from peacock pelt), rooster saddle feathers for collar (bleached and dyed), corset boning, interfacing. Also a human hair wig.
Roscoe the albino peacock died of natural causes, by the way. I bought his pelt from a humane peacock farm.
Cost: Approximately $90 for fabric, $60 for total feathers, $95 for human hair wig, $20 for shoes, $30 for pearls.
Total cost: Approximately $300.
Time to create: 3 days.
Easiest part: The cuffs.
Hardest part: The bodice (had to be re-fitted three times).
The train of the dress is made entirely of albino peacock feathers, undyed, and is detachable from the dress. The collar is also detachable for cleaning purposes. The shoes are white satin with freshwater pearl details.
The wig is a straight human hair wig that has been styled with a curling iron and sprayed for hold. The bangs have been customized for a shorter length.
Makeup: Cover Girl/Max Factor/Estee Lauder.

It really is a beautiful dress *nodnod* I'm glad you posted such great pictures, because I only caught a glimpse of the train at Otakon! It's amazing that you can make these costumes in such a short amount of time.
Wow. So expensive to make and so beautiful. Dang. So many dresses nowadays are such crap compared to this. I want to reach out and touch the soft feathers...but I fear I would defile them with my impure touch. Just...splendid.
