This is a drawing done for the back of the Dark Crystal manga (not sure if it's for the first or second one), published by Tokyopop. I love Dark Crystal so much!
I referenced the small animal and the Great Conjunction symbol in the back from original illustrations by Froud in the collector's Dark Crystal book. I is HUGE fan of everything Henson Company, oh yeah! This was done in pen and ink, then watercolors, then Copics, then touched up in Photoshop. Many different layers o' media.  Critique is much appreciated! Comments im impressed

I'd love to give you the critique you want but the only thing I think you could have done to make it better is to make the lines around the eyes a little darker. Other than that it's so perfect  I love the Dark Crystal too.... -- We're not falling in love We're just falling apart.  I love the pattern on the hem of the sleeves!! Only real critique I have, is that the hair and the bent arm aren't casting heavy enough shadows on the clothing. This is BEAUTIFUL, though! I love the intricate background!
 The Dark Crystal is a manga? I only thought it was a movie o_O
