The first in a series of new comic strips I'm putting on my website. I wanted to do a comic on my site for a long time but I didn't know what to do it about. Finally I just decided to draw what I felt like drawing, without any scripts or pencils....just drawing straight in ink whatever came into my head, even though (and especially) if nobody else understands it.
"Every Day Today" is a story about someone who goes on a journey, although what that journey is for and where she's going is not known yet, and probably never will be. Everything in the story is about things that happen to me or what I'm thinking about right when I draw a certain panel. You're not supposed to get it and there's no deeper meaning. I just wanted to do a comic that's entirely me with no pressure about whether it will sell or who will buy it, and can be interpreted by other people however they want.
I also wanted to do a comic that was entirely traditional media. I'm really tired of the over-processed, computer-colored anime art I see everywhere nowadays, where everything is glossy and filtered and polished to death and optimized for poster prints or 8x10's. Just once I wanted to do an all pen-and-ink work that's instant, with no scripts and no forethought.
I love the frame where the hair girl thing is talking to the crow on the pyramid. ^_^
And a the "I have many foes and my hair is one of them" would be a great t-shirt.
This comic is reminiscent of Edward Gorey. I love it ^_^ A comic doesn't have to make sense to be enjoyed...at least not in my opinion. This sort of thing is my favorite type of comic!

Beautiful bleeding, beautiful Life, beautiful spilling upon the floor † Beautiful dreaming, beautiful dying, beautiful something never-more
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
