Artist's Comments

So this is the final version of the sketch I posted way earlier, and you can see how different the final result is. I did the rest of the painting in two tones of watercolor and put in a weirdo looking tree background with flat black on the PC, then covered it over with a neato texture, which I got from someone on DA but I swear I can't remember his name for the life of me! He's a REALLY awesome texture artist and if you know who it is, please let me know so I can credit him!

As you can prolly guess, this was the cover for my submissions packet for SLG.

EDIT: Just wanted to letcha know that I resubmitted this comic elsewhere and signed on for a graphic novel series!! Working on it right now, actually...more on that later. You might someday see this painting as the cover of a graphic novel, wheeee!

THE PRINT DOES NOT HAVE THE SIDEBAR OR TITLE ON IT, JUST THE PAINTING ITSELF! :D

play me down the stairs by ~sadwonderland has that "Alice in Wonderland" feel but with a gothic twist. Endlessly playing her violin in the hopes of being discovered, being heard. Could it be that she’s mourning about something or someone? Shh… listen closely as you walk down the stairs. The beguiling tune will surely leave you mesmerized.
